A Journey Towards Eternal Life
This section is dedicated to all persons who desire to become into full fellowship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
- Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me. (John 14:6)
- For there is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end there of are the ways of death. (Proverbs 14:12)
- For it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. (Hebrews 9:27)
- A man's life consists not in the abundance of things which he possesses. (Luke 12:15)
- For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? (Mark 8:36)
- For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
What must you do to be saved?
1. Repent - turn away from sin and submit yourself to God.
For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. God knows when you are truly sorry for your sins and He is just and faithful and ready to forgive you. (Romans 3:23)
Therefore, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shall be saved, and thy house. (Acts 16:31).
Jesus said, Behold, I stand at the door (heart) and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come into Him. (Revelation 3:20)
2. Be Baptize - in the name of Jesus.
Water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission (forgiveness) of sins, water baptism is the act of being immersed in water according indwelling of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:38).
This ordinance has no power to wash away one's sin but is the answer of a good conscience toward God, representing the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Not putting away the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God. (I Peter 3:21)
And He commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. (The name of the Lord is Jesus). (Acts 19:5)
- water - immerge
- command - to obey
- the name - Jesus Christ
3. Holy Ghost Baptism
When a person has obeyed the word of God they are then eligible for the baptism of the Holy Ghost is an endowment of power for service. (Acts 1:6)
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you; and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in Judea, in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. (Acts 1:8)
4. Speaking In Tongues - Do I need to speak in tongues in order to be baptized in the Holy Ghost? Yes.
Speaking in tongues as the spirit of God gives utterance is the initial, physical evidence of the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. According to God’s word “speaking in tongues”, is the evidence that you have the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:3-4)
Acts 2:3-4
v2) And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
v3) And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the spirit gave them utterance.
Speaking in tongues is a heavenly language.
Acts 10:44-47
v44) While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on them which heard the word.
v45) And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
v46) For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God, then answered Peter.
v47) Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
Acts 19:1-6
v1) And it came to pass, that while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus; and finding certain disciples.
v2) He said unto them Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, we have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
v3) And he said unto them, unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, unto John's baptism.
v4) Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him, which should come after him that is, on Christ Jesus.
v5) When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
v6) And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. The receiving of the Holy Ghost is the power you need to seal your salvation.
5. Promises To Penitent
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. (Acts 2:39)
"Therefore, he said unto them: the harvest is truly great; but the laborers are few." Luke 10:2
Prayer for the Penitent
God, be merciful to me a sinner. I repent, forgive me of my sins. I believe the Jesus Christ is the Only Begotten Son of the Living God, born of the Virgin Mary. I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for me and that His blood will cleanse me from all my sin. By faith I have confessed with my mouth and believe in my heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, that He ascended unto heaven and that Jesus now sits on the right of God. For with my heart I believeth unto righteousness; and with my mouth confession is made unto salvation for the scripture saith, whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. By faith I now receive the Lord Jesus into my heart as my Lord and my Saviour, trusting Him for the Salvation of my soul. In Jesus name I pray. Amen
If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior please share the good news with me.
